Do You Have Indymedia's Back?
Santa Cruz Indymedia has been at the forefront of progressive struggles on the Central Coast since its inception in 2001. Now, this all-volunteer community media resource needs your help. Do you have Indymedia's back?
When you reflect on some of the recent progressive struggles that have
happened in our community...
-for worker's rights throughout the Central Coast -

-for the integrity of our incredible coastal environment -

-for the the civil rights of our immigrant communities -

-for the protection of free speech locally and nationally -

-for the protection of students from predatory military recruiters -

-for the promotion of a localized economy and sustainable community -

-for homeless peoples' rights, here and throughout our country -
http://santacruz.indymedia.org/feature/display/17197/index.php
-for a more progressive political system -
http://santacruz.indymedia.org/feature/display/17229/index.php
... you'll see that Santa Cruz Indymedia has been there with you in these
struggles and has served as an alternative media space so YOU can tell the
stories that are regularly missed in the corporate media.
Santa Cruz Indymedia, an all-volunteer media project, has had your back in
these struggles and more. We need to know: do you have our back?
Since the Santa Cruz Independent Media was established in 2001, we have
never had any major fundraising drives. However, we have recently lost
our free webhosting and need to raise $4,000 (along with Indybay, our
partner website) by January 30th or we run the real risk of having to shut
down the site.
Please seriously consider making a donation today. You will be
hard-pressed to find a more efficient charity to donate to. Nearly 100%
of donations go directly toward operating expenses; we won't waste your
money on slick brochures or marketing schemes.
