Is it that time again for Peace activists to 'welcome' Ms. "Chevron" Rice to town?

The token NeoCon apologist who "sexed up" the notorious scare of phantom Iraqi WMDs in the form of a "mushroom cloud" accusation back in 2002, will be coming to SF on May 27. This is the very same LIAR who 3 days ago said in Baghdad that the Iraq war "came to us"(sic), meaning the Iraqis attacked the USA, instead of the HISTORICAL FACT that the Evil Empire pre-emptively (& illegally) invaded & occupied that nation, based on a PACK of LIES that are now incontrovertably proven.

So it's time for all decent citizens to show her that we will not let her continue her deceit & warmongering, free from sustained & creative challenges to her continuing tirades of Imperial propaganda.

Mobilize your friends & neighbors on May 27 & give her a Bay Area "welcome" that she will not soon forget, even with her trademark NeoCon amnesia of selected historical truths.

I was going to say that we should give her the welcome she deserves, but that might be interpreted as advocating violence!

To do so in regard to Ms. Rice would especially be a mistake since none of her white high-level partners-in-crime have received such treatment yet.

BTW, this would be a good time to bring up support for Hasan Akbar, an African-American who is very much the opposite of Rice, and who is facing the death penalty for his anti-war action.

When she spoke at Stanford at a commencement we protested her, just a handful of us. We handed out red sheets of paper with info about her, then walked in front of the seats holding them in the air as she spoke.

She was so boring and fake that within just minutes people were practically begging us to read the red papers, just for something real.

These days, much more than a red paper is suggested. In Huston they got arrested at the front door blockading it for ticketholders to the Haliburton shareholder meeting - nothing less should be in order for this occassion.

Don't let Medea & co. turn it into just another chance to announce events. ANSWER shouldn't do it if they're going to co-opt the opportunity for ANNOUNCEMENTS, instead of letting something far more real than watching the Mime Troupe play Dick Cheney happen.

"She stood in the crowded room as her drove of minions stood around her...A huddling mass trying to draw closer to her aura of evil. The lights flashed against her fangs as her cruel lips curled into a grimace. It was meant to be a smile but it wouldn't reach her cold, lifeless eyes. It was a leer- the leer of the undead before a feeding..."

The above was not a scene from Buffy the Vampire Slayer- it was just Condi Rice in Iraq a day ago. At home, we fondly refer to her as The Vampire. She's such a contrast to Bush- he simply looks stupid. She, on the other hand, looks utterly evil.

Yeah, hold a big sign up that you made yourself!

Dress like Cheney!

And chant! Yeah, chant loud enough so they hear you when they're going inside to sit back in their expensive seats and take in the acoustically sealed ambiance, free of your distractions.

That'll do the trick by golly!

Then when you're chanting and watching the cool costumes and signs, then Dick Becker and maybe even Medea can stand at the mic and tell you about their upcoming events.

What a day it will be!
Remember, the main reason this story made the news (Forbes, Financial Times, FSRN, AP, etc.) is that there was direct action and the cops used horses, which is a photo op for the news. If it were 300 people standing with their signs and chanting slogans behind the rope and dressing up like Rice, you could count on less than half of the coverage.

'Keith Koski, a 46-year-old Houston resident dressed as Vice President Dick Cheney, a former Halliburton chief, said it's a matter of conscience.

"I think it's a shame we have to be here this year, but we'll keep coming back as long as Halliburton is illegally profiteering from the war in the Iraq," he said.

Halliburton's response was measured.

"Halliburton supports the rights of protesters," Halliburton said in a news release. "Even if they don't have the facts right, they have a right to speak up."

At least 30 mounted Houston police officers and dozens more on foot worked to control the crowd of mostly young people, who shouted anti-war and anti-Halliburton chants and threw an occasional bottle.

The protesters brought with them a variety of homemade noisemakers, including a trash can fitted with stereo speakers that pumped techno sounds at ear-splitting levels.
