Dr. Jill Stein speaks out in Ferguson July 25, 2015

by Jill Stein/IndyRadio edit
How many presidential candidates have visited Ferguson? While there, Jill Stein spoke against systemic racism that leads to fatalities, through forced choices in housing, education, and how we deliver justice. It is amazing she has been painted almost completely invisible by the media - even and especially the "progressive" media.

[ Video: 5:48 ]

While condemning systemic racism in Ferguson, Dr. Jill Stein arrives at several related insights in her brief but powerful address: "We have the power to end federal funding to police that is (wrongly) based on the number of arrests" and "Marijuana is not illegal because it is dangerous, it is dangerous because it is illegal". We have the power!

A Bernie Sanders supporter attempted to disrupt the recording near the end of this blurry video.

The video was cropped and sized from the one that is available on YouTube. It is regrettable that her events are usually not well documented.

Gloria LaRiva, the Presidential candidate for the Party of Socialism & Liberation and a member of California's Peace & Freedom Party, was shot with a rubber bullet while videotaping the police riots in Ferguson in 2014. See

You can hear her on the video tell the governor "It does not take that long for an investigation."
As the Secretary of State's website states at:
http://www.sos.ca.gov/elections/upcoming-elections/june-7-2016-presidential-primary-election/key-dates-and-deadlines-june-7-2016/
the deadline for announcing official candidates for the June California primary is essentially January 1, 2016. Gloria has run for president in other states on the PSL ticket, notably, Arkansas in 2008 (and PSL was represented by Lindsay in 2012), Colorado in 2012 and 2008, Iowa in 2012 and 2008, Louisiana in 2008 (and Lindsay in 2012), New York in 2008 (and Lindsay in 2012), Rhode Island in 2008 (and Lindsay in 2012), same for Vermont, Washington state, Wisconsin in 2008 and 2012. (See 2015 World Almanac, pp. 516-549).
This Peace & Freedom Party member has a message to the people who pick candidates: IF YOU PICK ANYONE OTHER THAN GLORIA LA RIVA, I AM VOTING FOR JILL STEIN. You picked a bourgeois non-socialist candidate who did not support the 9/11 Truth Movement in 2008, namely Ralph Nader, and you picked a person new to Peace & Freedom who, after the 2012 election, promoted Israel, namely Roseanne Barr. IF YOU DO NOT PICK A SOCIALIST AND LONG TIME MEMBER OF PEACE & FREEDOM PARTY, NAMELY GLORIA LA RIVA, I WILL VOTE GREEN AGAIN AS I DID IN 2008. At age 61 or so, after a lifetime of work for socialism, that is the least Peace & Freedom Party can do to honor Gloria LaRiva. Gloria is bilingual in Spanish and English, essential in California where at least 38% of the population is Latino, and an even greater percentage of the workingclass is Latino.

I asked "How many presidential candidates have visited Ferguson?" Gloria LaRiva was the first. Jill Stein makes 2. Isn't it a bit late for the other to wake up?

The article I linked explains how long it should take to get a police officer indicted, something you addressed in your comment.

Thanks for the additional info. Hope Gloria wasn't badly injured.
