Anabel Hernández is a renowned Mexican journalist, author of the best-selling book Los Señores del Narco (Narcoland), and the key challenger to the Mexican federal government’s official story about the kidnapping of 43 student teachers in Iguala
last September.
Since 2001, she has investigated abuse of power, gender violence, and drug cartels. She has received multiple awards, including the Golden Pen of Freedom, the Mexican Journalism Award, and official recognition by UNICEF. Anabel will detail her evidence and argument regarding political violence in contemporary Mexico. A Q&A session with the audience will follow.
The event is free and open to the public.
