Hella Occupy Oakland! 6 Month Anniversary!

The cops started out with several attendees from their department. Then two vans with cops in riot gear showed up, then two more vans... They wanted to party like it was WW3, they certainly came dressed like they did. I am not aware of any arrests, although someone's PA system was aggressively taken and confiscated. I think the cops were mad that they did not get any ice cream. It looked really scary when they blocked off the north and east sides of Oscar Grant Plaza, although honestly they didn't have the man power to surround anyone, and on the south side of OGP it was possible to negotiate tactical avoidance of police. Occupy Oaklanders prevented police from taking video footage with one of the large OO# canvases.
