BART sort of runs through Berkeley, El Cerrito, San Leandro etc. The protest should have been a BART train party. Coliseum station is almost in SAn Leandro. Oakland city government set up speakers with music in their downtown to attract angry folks.
what does smashing windows have anything to do with solidarity? please explain...
reno: “what does smashing windows have anything to do with solidarity? please explain...”
Are you looking for logic? Well, how come Mehserle was let go after committing murder in front of witnesses and 6 cops?
It took riots to get Mehserle arrested, 12 days after the murder?
Are you worried about windows and not about restrictions on armed cops?
US do not go about achieving their control of other independent nations peacefully. Neither do the cops react peacefully to protesters! Peaceful demonstrations do not change the course US take!
We can all become civilian casualties of the police and you worry about the windows!
