The growing
autocratic control
within Pacifica is
a great danger
to the future of
the network.
Millions of people are losing their jobs, their
homes and their health care. The need for an
activist, community-based KPFA and Pacifica
Foundation network is critical.
The elimination of Youth Radio, the Poor radio segment, the threat against
the Women's Magazine and the banning of programming from the
KPFA Labor Collective are some of the issues that need to be addressed.
The destruction of the Program Council at KPFA and lack of monthly
KPFA Board meetings and the growing autocratic control within
Pacifica is a great danger to the future of the network. The locks were
changed at WBAI's transmitter. Which station transmitter will be next?
Wednesday, June 10, 2009, 7:30PM
Join with supporters of Voices for Justice Radio and others who are
interested in developing a slate for the upcoming KFPA Local Station
Board elections. We will discuss what needs to be done to revitalize
KPFA and the Pacifica Foundation.

The same people who backed all the unjustified actions at KPFA (Calling the cops on Nadra Foster, elimanting the program council etc ) The "'concerned listeners''are also opposed to the necessary actions taken by Grace Aaron and LaVarn Williams at WBAI ! What the ''Voices for Justice '' fail to mention is that the ''Concerned Listeners'' at KPFA are closely allied with the so called '' Justice and Unity '' group in NYC who have ran WBAI into ground .
So the Voices for Justice condemm the actions backed by the C.L. in the Bay area but apparently a allied with the CL's allies in New York .
Strange illogical bedfellows .
Whoever this is, is really nuts and doesn't understand the players as the comment above says.
