On May 22nd, protester Gabe Meyers has a 9 AM hearing at the Wiley W. Manuel Courthouse, located at 661 Washington Street, Department 107. He needs the support of those of us who can be there.
Gabe faces multiple counts of battery because he splattered red paint at the April 9th BART Board meeting (see link below); in its then recent court filings, BART had outrageously dismissed the slaughter of Oscar Grant as the result of a "tragic mistake."
The charge of battery is a felony and counts as a “strike.”

Room correction duly noted.
Hey Kim,
Sorry, I do not have the penal codes for my charges with me, so I can not tell you what they are. I will repost here tomorrow after I get out of court with the penal codes and any new developments
Thanks again
Gabe
PS- Hope to see you there

Gabe Meyers's next court date will be on June 8th at 9AM in Dept. 104 of Wiley. M Manuel Courthouse at 661 Washington St. in Downtown Oakland. Gabe entered a plea of not guilty at his last appearance on May 22nd and had been assigned a public defender by the court. There also was an apperance by the BART attorney at Meyer's last court apperance, in which he had approached the District Attorney's desk and had presented the prosecutor with a file, presumably on Meyers.
