On May 22nd, protester Gabe Meyers has a 9 AM hearing at the Wiley W. Manuel Courthouse, located at 661 Washington Street, Department 107. He needs the support of those of us who can be there.

Gabe faces multiple counts of battery because he splattered red paint at the April 9th BART Board meeting (see link below); in its then recent court filings, BART had outrageously dismissed the slaughter of Oscar Grant as the result of a "tragic mistake."

The charge of battery is a felony and counts as a “strike.”

Thanks Kim for posting this,

Two little corrections though, 1) I am not being charged with a felony. Battery is a misdemeanor, but technichally I could get 6 months if convicted. I am being charged with three counts of battery right now, because the paint splattered on three people when I dumped it on the desk. Also, the hearing is going to be in Dept. 104, not 107. Other than that, the info is correct. So if people can make the time to show up, I would really appreciate it.
