People Power Can End the War - Stop Recruitment! No Draft!

Over 200 people rallied at the Chevron Station in Oakland to before marching in the streets down Telegraph Ave and back up Broadway to the Armed Forces Recruiting Station in Downtown Oakland this afternoon. Rallies on both ends of the march featured inspiring performances from many youth and artists from the community. Upon arriving at the recruiting station, activists lined up in front of the building and began to "re-decorate" the facade. The result was a beautiful re-claiming of the space on Broadway between 21st and 22nd streets.
