It's Fall in Australia, but the world turned upside down is here in San Francisco where Dave Giesen leads his free walking tour featuring 11 social movement stories across a dozen blocks, each exhibiting the walk's hypothesis that "The antidote to divisive identity politics, but the affirmation of identity diversity is socializing location values so that neither private interests nor demographic domination hold social, economic, or political sway."

This talk-walk uses stories as disparate as the Mormon Hegira and Black Panther Liberation Schools to explore the role "security in geography" plays in society today, much less yesterday. Prepare to have your political cock-sureness stood on its head!
