Two Events about Palestine:
Sat, 5/15, 11 am -- Lamentation for the Nakba -- Nakba is Arabic for Catastrophe and the founding of the State of Israel in 1948 was indeed a catastrophe for the Palestinians. The catastrophe continues to this very day with home demolitions, child torture, ancient olive groves destroyed and an illegal Separation barrier snaking far into Palestinian territory. Lamentation for the Nakba is an act of solidarity staged by an interfaith group. We remember the old stories, tell the new ones and honour the ongoing suffering of Palestinians:
