New Music Alert: The Latest Empowerment Anthem From Reina & Apollo

by Corinne Fuller
There's new music from emerging artists Reina & Apollo!
“Time’s up, clean up, queen’s up, time’s up, we ready, we ready, we ready for y’all!” That’s the pre-chorus to the latest Black Women empowerment anthem, ‘Time’s Up’. It’s safe to say, ‘we ready’ to hear more beautiful collaborations between the emerging artist’s Apollo & Reina, the masterminds who wrote and performed ‘Time’s Up’.

Reina is a Vallejo, CA School Board candidate and student of the Billboard x NYU Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music Industry Essentials. She and her cousin Apollo released this enjoyable hit with their record label Urban Royalty Inc, a multi-generational creative collective made up of family and close friends from the Bay Area.

Within ‘Time’s Up’, they included the powerful message of loving yourself and reclaiming your power even when the world wants you silenced. The duo also manages to push back on some normalized aspects of rape culture, making for an overall phenomenal song with meaning behind it.

The track was produced by Ryoku and Reina, and recorded at the legendary K-Lou Recording Studios. For more information, head to urbanroyaltyinc.com.
