Unemployment Claims Still Not Paid; Picketlines Needed
Today's check of the Twitter, https://twitter.com/search?q=%23EDDFailOfTheDay&src=typed_query&f=live, shows that the Unemployment office is still not paying claims dating back to March and private profit contractor Deloitte is still allowed to touch confidential information and pretend to process these basic claims when Deloitte should be fired immediately for obvious violation of its contract to pay the claims immediately.

We need to hear from the California State Labor Federation and all other organizations that support labor with picketlines outside the EDD and Deloitte Claims Processing Centers. After all, Unemployment Insurance came into existence in 1935 with Social Security as a direct result of the general strikes of 1934 in San Francisco, Minneapolis and Toledo. This month we commemorate San Francisco's General Strike in which the police shot in the back and killed 2 strikers on July 5, 1934 prompting a massive funeral march on Market Street that was memorialized in Mike Quin's classic, The Big Strike.
