Peace is the New Priority for Planet Earth after CoVid19 Crisis
For decades Peace activists have been clamoring that the misplaced US priority on Militarism (wasting Trillions of dollars and narrowly focusing on imagined foreign enemies and/or real terrorists spawned by US policies) will decisively harm the health of citizens and the Planet itself. Sadly, 60 years after President Eisenhower warned of the danger of the Military Industrial Complex overshadowing the health and welfare of our society, the Peace agenda is still being sidelined to near extinction, both by the political ruling elite of Pentagon-Wall Street hucksters, and the compliant mainstream media outlets.
Truth of the matter is, in the upcoming 2020 US elections, not a single presidential candidate--save the now-suspended campaign by Rep. Tulsi Gabbard of Hawai'i--has the courage to challenge the suffocating hegemony and misplaced priorities of the bi-partisan Mad C.O.W.s(Coalition of Oilers & Warmongers). Even though the Climate Change Catastrophe and now the global CoVid19 pandemic have conclusively shown that the Private Profit-funded Cold War mentality will only lead to a dystopian future for all our 7+ billion Planetary neighbors, no "responsible" politician anywhere has emerged to champion the urgent need to offer a more Equitable, Sustainable, Collaborative and Transparent alternative paradigm to the existing globalized Corrupt and Clunkered Corporate/Capitalist Calamity.
The only small rays of hope may rest on the emerging coalition of Peace and environmental activists--alongside indigenous cultural practitioners--that are actually experimenting with new forms of sustainable and cooperative enterprises, all across towns and villages on continents and Oceania. These new activists-leaders, representing the interests of the 99%--rather than the traditional "political leaders" of the totally-discredited G7/G20 elite--will slowly but surely develop the necessary embryonic models for the brighter future in the remaining 8 decades of the 21st century. Stay tuned for better news ahead...
