One person was shot after an officer-involved occurred in Central Fresno Wednesday afternoon.
The shooting happened on Blackstone and Yale Avenues around 3:30 p.m. Witnesses say police fired two shots at the suspect after an on-foot chase, striking him.
Fresno Police Chief Jerry Dyer says the suspect appeared to brandish a gun from his waistband when the officer fired.
The suspect's condition is unknown.
The area remains blocked off while police conduct an investigation.
