This is an independently produced program presenting the nine candidates for the five San Francisco Group Executive Committee seats with an opportunity to meet Sierra Club members and the general public.

It is produced by David Giesen, who is a Sierra Club member, and who is affiliated with none of the nine candidacies, but who is dismayed that there is no other forum for convenient, direct interaction with the candidates. There is a real and significant difference of opinion as to ideals and policy advocacy amongst the candidates, but you wouldn't know it by the candidates' published statements. I know it because I have contacted all of them.

Come hear from at least a few of the candidates, and ask them questions directly. All nine candidates have been invited, and though admittedly this program has been hastily constructed, it comes to you in this fashion because no other provision for comparison of program objectives was arranged by or for the candidates. In the absence of this forum, the direction of the San Francisco Group was left to raw factional strength of numbers.

If you're not a Sierra Club member yet, consider joining after listening to the voices of those who wish to carry on the venerable Sierra Club's environmental goals from an urbanite's perspective.
