Julia M. Allen will read from, discuss, and sign copies of her award-winning dual biography of life partners and labor journalists Anna Rochester and Grace Hutchins. A slide show will accompany the reading. The book, Passionate Commitments: The Lives of Anna Rochester and Grace Hutchins, was published by State University of New York Press. It won the 2014 Judy Grahn Award for Lesbian Non-Fiction presented by the Publishing Triangle.
