Become a community activist!

Want to connect with other Alameda County residents committed to protecting civil liberties?

Want to become more knowledgeable about the rights of young people in our community?

On Sunday, May 22, join your Alameda County neighbors in networking with local activists and talking about the issues you care about most at the Annual Membership Meeting of the Paul Robeson Chapter of the ACLU of Northern California.

The meeting is an opportunity to talk about how we can work together to challenge abuses of power, protecting and defending the rights that belong to all of us.

The afternoon will include a special presentation on youth rights in Alameda County. We will also hear from young people who have just been awarded scholarships from our chapter. And the chapter’s Grover Dye Award will be awarded to a local individual whose initiative and perseverance have strengthened civil rights and civil liberties here in Alameda County.

Current ACLU members will also have the opportunity to vote in elections for the Chapter Board of Directors.

Please contact Jeff Landau at jeff [at] paulrobesonaclu.org for more details. It’s not too late to nominate candidates for the chapter board.

Note: Hayward City Hall is conveniently located between I-880 & I-580 and within walking distance of Hayward BART. There is a parking garage directly across the street.
