All you never wanted to know about depleted uranium, the nuclear fuel/weapons cycle, and the social and physical effects of nuclear technology ...

EVERY VOICE 6:00-7:00 p.m., PST, Wednesday, April 27,
on San Francisco Cable Channel 29, public access television

or

if you're not in San Francisco or don't have cable, by viewing live stream at 6:00 PST on the internet by going to http://www.bavc.org, select "Public Access TV" and from its drop-down menu select "Live Stream - Ch 29". (Adjust for time zones: e.g., if you are in New York, you would need to watch at 9:00 pm -- EST).

This is a video of a 2003 panel in San Francisco presented by Bay Area United Against War, featuring 1) a presentation on the sources, uses and effects of depleted uranium; 2) a presentation by Jackie Cabasso, Director of the Western States Legal Foundation, on the nuclear energy and weapons cycle; and 3) a power point presentation by Dr. Jay S. Gould (past president of Physicians for Social Responsibility) on the social and physical effects of nuclear technology. Also includes a rap protest by a young audience member, followed by a slide show of nuclear bomb detonations.

You need to review this stuff now that it's clearly time to phase out nuclear energy and weapons. Forever! Too dangerous. As Winnie the Pooh says: "It's a funny thing about accidents - they never happen till they're happening."
