There will be a rally at the Santa Cruz Town Clock, to note the eighth anniversary of the U.S. invasion and occupation of Iraq, as well as the incarceration of Bradley Manning and general threats to our social welfare posed by the increasing militarism of our society, beginning at noon on Saturday, March 19. Bring friends, signs, and the determination to end the Mideast Wars. Bring our troops and money home!

And You should have your local event at the Clock Tower on Sunday.
It is strategically smart to get as large a number of people in San Francisco on Saturday to make the numbers of protesters as large as possible......Local actions in last several years have decreased numbers at the Regional event in SF.
I am not saying you should not have a protest in Santa Cruz, but do it on Sunday.
One needs to do both.
