DMV employee sends religious letters to Transgender person.

Transgender woman files damage suit against California DMV.

Amber Yust did what every transgender person has to do, change the gender marker on their ID or drivers license. This process must be done in person at a Department of Motor vehicles only after a doctor signs a form authorizing the sex change.

However; Amber Yust got more than a new ID, she got letters and a video damning her to hell, and saying she would put to death because of her change. DMV employee Thomas Demartini obtained Yusts' private address and sent her letters, and a video urging her to change her mind or she would be killed or damned(not sure what that means). DMV employee Demartini did in fact violate State privacy laws and is also a civil rights violation. To date Amber Yust has said they did not apologize. The DMV employee has done this in the past, but yet he was still employed by the California State government.
The letters were tagged with the terms “Most Holy Family Monastery,” which is a fundamentalist Catholic church that split from the Roman Catholic Church. Yust believe that Demartini shared her information with the church and she feels unsafe in an area that is known to facilitate and enable sex changes both legally and medically.
Amber Yusts' attorney has filed a damage suit against the employee and the DMV.
