KPFA election results 16% voted but no listing of winners
The Pacifica elections website states 3,465 voted in the KPFA elections, about 16% of the listener subscribers and also states that 1 MONTH 1/2 OF ELECTION UPDATES HAVE BEEN LOST. THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE. What does that mean? Does anyone know the winners?

Here are a few references to discussions where the lies -- and abuse of KPFA airtime to promulgate those lies -- are exposed:

known all morning. You'll have to ask the self-described champions of the transparency and democracy why they're not posting them. Perhaps they didn't fare so well?"
Yes, indeed, friends. The results were known weeks ago early on during the election campaign when ballots were sent out to voters with no enclosed candidate information. Instead of equal information about candidates, voters received in the mail alongside their ballot, a slick, expensive mailer by the well-funded "Save KPFA" slate (formerly "Concerned Listeners"), some of whom are landlord millionaires, according to past reports.
This slick mailer, featuring endorsements from the anti-democratic faction of paid staffers at KPFA and their cronies, evidently created an advantage over all other candidates (including "Independents for Community Radio," who sent a mailer as well, but a week late, according to various reports).
It seems, almost half of the listener ballots came in en masse early on in the campaign. Since, the candidate booklets were not mailed out until late in the campaign, one may surmise that the huge mass of early voters cast their ballots with no printed candidate information other than the expensive "Save KPFA" mailer. Personally, my internet access was limited, as was many of my friends'. The elections website is simply no substitute for printed information. Simply imagine state and federal elections eliminating printed information. It would never fly.
The slick "Save KPFA" mailer was the only printed candidate information sent out with the ballots. Why was this allowed? It's shameful and ironic campaign finance reform has to be an issue in KPFA's LSB elections.
Then the coup de grâce to Fair Campaign Provisions came when key staff partisan programmers, such as Mitch Jeserich, Brian Edwards-Tiekert, Sasha Lilley, C.S. Soong, John Hamilton, Anita Johnson, and Assistant interim General Manager Amelia Gonzalez, took to the air to spread rumour, fear-mongering, and disinformation slandering three LSB/PNB members. [Interested parties ought to download the archives of Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday (9/29/10, 9/30/10, and 10/1/10) to hear the lengths entrenched KPFA staffers who seem to think they own the station will go to intervene in LSB elections. Also, at least review the final round of LSB on-air debates on 9/27/10, 9/28/10, and 9/29/10 to hear "Save KPFA" candidates initiating the slanderous disinformation campaign before KPFA's archives are erased. KPFA's archives have been increasingly eroded and obliterated. Since Sunday, October 10th, no KPFA archives whatsoever have been made available. Incidentally, this coincides with the day preliminary ballot counts were made.]
Virtually all of the aforementioned on-air personalities have endorsed the "Save KPFA" slate. This speaks to partisan motive in violations of LSB Fair Campaign Provisions. All three LSB/PNB members alluded to on the air were explicitly named on a website referenced by the defiant partisan staffers on-air. The website named was http://www.kpfaworker.org, a website the partisan staffers, wilfully violating the Fair Campaign Provisions, promoted in order to further disinform listeners.
Neither the Assistant interim GM, Amelia Gonzalez, nor the interim General Manager (iGM), Ahmad Anderson, ever went on air to voice any disclaimer whatsoever. The failure of KPFA management to proclaim 'the slanderous comments made on-air by such and such partisan on-air personalities belong to the partisan staffers only and do not reflect the views of KPFA, its management, nor the Pacifica Foundation,' has served to legitimate the partisan staffers' on-air disinformation.
In the absence of such an on-air disclaimer by management or the LSB elections supervisors, it may appear to listeners the disinformation campaign waged by the partisan staffers did reflect the official views of KPFA, when we know, of course, they did not. The semi-ranting email sent by the iGM to paid staff and later posted on Indybay was too little, too late. It seems the iGM allowed the partisan staffers to do their thing for a few days abusing their broadcasting privileges, then gave them a symbolic slap on the wrist, seemingly to cover his own arse. By then, of course, the electoral damage was done.
Yes, it was quite clear to see what the likely results of such a botched election would be early on. KPFA has been here before. Indeed, others have written about the history of LSB election obstruction by entrenched staffers since democratically-elected boards began (http://sites.google.com/site/therealsavekpfa/). Some candidates even openly expressed their sense they didn't have a chance in the election without the benefit of sending expensive mailers, which some have said can cost over $10,000 to print and mail to all voters.
This is not transparency or democracy, friends. This is called buying an election, as has been done before at KPFA. Don't let entrenched staff and their cronies undermine LSB elections. Demand media democracy, now!
Speak out now:

Ahmad Anderson, Interim General Manager, ahmad [at] pacifica.org, 510 849-2590 Ext 204 (The announcment is for a Laverne Williams; I do not know if it is actually Anderson's.)
Amelia Gonzales, Interim Assistant GM, iagm [at] kpfa.org, 510 849-2590 ext 209 (the first extension given is invalid)
(You will notice under the LSB, they use it's for the possessive, its. Who writes this illiteracy?)

As to the following lickspittles:
"Then the coup de grâce to Fair Campaign Provisions came when key staff partisan programmers, such as Mitch Jeserich, Brian Edwards-Tiekert, Sasha Lilley, C.S. Soong, John Hamilton, Anita Johnson, and Assistant interim General Manager Amelia Gonzalez, took to the air to spread rumour, fear-mongering, and disinformation slandering three LSB/PNB members"
THE LOCAL STATION BOARD MUST FIRE ALL OF THEM TODAY AND MUST REPLACE AHMED ANDERSON IMMEDIATELY.
In addition, the Local Station Board must demand the immediate restoration of the archives retroactive to when they stopped archiving.
THE LOCAL STATION BOARD MUST ALSO FILE AN ELECTION FRAUD LAWSUIT. WE CANNOT AND WILL NOT TOLERATE THIS ELECTION FRAUD AGAIN. It should be illegal to send any mailer with the ballot and the ballot MUST ALWAYS BE MAILED WITH THE CANDIDATE STATEMENTS. WE WILL NOT STAND FOR THIS CRAP ANYMORE.

"Don't you see that the whole aim of Newspeak is to narrow the range of thought?... Has it ever occurred to you, Winston, that by the year 2050, at the very latest, not a single human being will be alive who could understand such a conversation as we are having now?... The whole climate of thought will be different. In fact, there will be no thought, as we understand it now. Orthodoxy means not thinking—not needing to think. Orthodoxy is unconsciousness."
"And if all others accepted the lie which the [Democratic] Party imposed—if all records told the same tale—then the lie passed into history and became truth. 'Who controls the past' ran the Party slogan, 'controls the future: who controls the present controls the past.'
