Tristan Anderson's welcome back social at Long Haul - 8/28/10
Tristan Anderson was welcomed back to the US with much support as friends gathered at The Long Haul (on Shattuck in Berkeley) on a weekend evening to celebrate Tristan's recovery. Tristan was critically injured from a tear gas canister Israeli troops had fired during a demo against the apartheid wall in the village of N'ilin on the 13th of March, 2009. The atmosphere surrounding the gathering was laid back and merry, as individuals ate, relaxed and conversed with Tristan, many seeing him for the first time since his return to the US.

I didn't pull out my camera because I saw so many people had theirs out (and mine doesn't like that kind of lighting), so thanks for posting.
At the Arniville Tent City Benefit and concert Activist/Attorney Osha Neumann
was talking about how the violence in the world
is coming closer and closer and the brutality touches everything. I see this more
and more everyday. Not long ago Tristan was playing with my sons in the Oak
Grove. The Oak grove is gone and Tristan has been fighting a long hard fight to
recover from something that they do to people in Palestine everyday.
It is good to see him here at home again but a reminder that we have a lot of
work to do ourselves.
We love you Tristan welcome home.
