Isadore Banks, Black Farmer, WWI Veteran family begins to find peace
The power of forgiveness, through truth and reconciliation will build a strong case for the renaissance of Black Agriculture in America. Nationwide U.S. Congress members utilize the Easter 2010 break to support Census 2010. We must quantify our entire U.S. population and begin to address the vast disparity in Black Agriculture communities throughout America caused by systemic institutional racism. I sure PRAY you receive this e-mail.
I have been trying to get help with this issue for sometime now.
I selected the topic, but it is MUCH MORE IMPORTANT than that.
It concerns MURDER, A COVER UP BY THE F.B.I, LAND, AND A LOT OF MONEY.
You put aside $1.25billion for Black Famers and their heirs and I'm one of those heirs, but I'm not so much concerned about the money (which we need) I'm more concerned about the death of my grandfather MR.ISADORE BANKS AND BRING JUSTICE AND CLOSURE TO OUR FAMILY.
Grandfather was murdered in Marion Crittenden County, Arkansas.
He was reported missing June 4 1954 and his body was found weeks later June 26, 1954.
He could not be I.D. except for the shoes he was wearing because of the HEINOUS, SENSELESS, INHUMANE, AND BARBARIC WAY HE WAS MURDERED.
Grandfather was some type of political figure during that time and had money, land, along with some important white friends during that time. Grandfather was also a BIG MAN WITH THE LADIES black and WHITE which you and I know that was a NO, NO back then.
His story is now back on the internet, but the F.B.I had closed his case and destroyed evidence or the file on grandfather (pertinent evidence} which I did'nt know they could do being that this is a murder case and there is no stature of limitation on murder...is there?
Nevertheless, I'm almost out of room so, would you please Google his name and read his story. The F.B.I. can't deny what they did because I have a copy of the letter they sent to THE SOUTHERN POVERTY LAW ASSOCIATION, back in 2003 dated March 10, 1992 stating what they did while the (NARA) monitored their actions.
I also contacted Congressman Clay's office about this situation as well. His asst. Lou looked into the matter but, has yet to get back with me. The Chicago Defender which covered the story at the time also says they will get back with me, but I'm still waiting.
There is also a CNN producer gathering information about grandfather he is out of Atlanta and he has gotten a negative response from the F.B.I concerning grandfather's case.
The land deeds that were in the courthouse are now gone... totally disappeared within the last few months because they were there.
When I started asking people there in Marion about grandfather it was like his name was TABOO. The people would hang up on me, closed their doors, tell me to let the dead be, but most of all be EXTREMELY CAREFUL there were people still alive that didn't like "OUTSIDERS".
There is SO MUCH MORE to this case it's frightening.
Can/will you HELP me with this or direct me to someone that will?

Dear Banks Family,
I had heard the Isadore Banks story long before it recently hit the media. My mother grew up in Turle, AK - Marion county. She had told us the story of Isadore Banks many years ago. My mother was about 7 years old when it happened. At my birthday celebration on May 13th, she told the story for my children to hear. To watch her speak of the horrible things that were done to Isadore Banks and watch her face as she re-lived the fear from almost 60 years ago was sad and unsettling. To this day, she speaks of the people that everyone that lived in Turle at the time knew killed Isadore. Saddly,it appears as though the murder's family not only got the land, they became quite wealthy and are still well endowed to this day.
I pray that this story and so many others come to light and I don't care how old the offenders are, I hope that they and their families are brought to justice!

Thank you so much for your comment Ms. Varner-Smith and I'm truly sorry for just now being able to express my appreciation. I'm working this case with the help of GOD and GOD alone, so I can't get to everything in a timely fashion. There are so many people to thank for their support, yet not one in the family of my grandfather....no not one. You see they don't beleive in this case. They don't have the faith that I have in GOD about JUSTICE being served at such a late time. Well, I'm his granddaugter and he has at least 7-8 children that could have tried to do something, but did nothing. To this day are still doing nothing except standing by on the sidelines waiting for an opportunity when it presents itself to say " yes, he was my dad, or grandfather, uncle,etc. Nonetheless, I continue in GODS' name until HE tells me to stop. Yes, I have been threatened, cursed, even told to stop or else face what was my grandfather's fate. I say " FOR GOD I LIVE AND FOR GOD I DIE", " IF GOD BE FOR ME THAN IT'S BETTER THAN THE WHOLE WORLD AGAINST ME". Please contine to keep me/us in your prayers for a day of RECONCIL because as GOD as my witness it's coming. If you don't mind please contact me I really would LOVE to talk to you. MANY BLESSINGS..

You know I had to come to the realization that it is GODS' assignment or mission that I am on not mine. GOD first has to prepare someone to do a job for HIM. HE does not send them out unprepared or unarmed. So no I'm not angry with them anymore, for anger and any other neg. thoughts will keep you from staying the course. But, most importantly you wont hear HIM....

Some of the stories about his life. Your grandfather‘s brother was her father-in-law. They moved to another part of Arkansas because of the foul play against your grandfather. I don’t even know the names of the possible perpetrators. But God knows and he is a just God and a God of true judgment. Hopefully he will save somebody in the families of the perpetrators and they will come out and tell the whole truth. In Jesus name.
