the role of women in the fight against oppression

One hundred years ago, March 8th was declared International Women’s Day in recognition of the struggles of women not only for equal rights but also against war, racism and capitalist exploitation. One hundred years later, women have made significant gains due to struggle but have much more to fight for. Women workers continue to be paid less than their male coworkers and face discrimination, high rates of violence and the denial of their reproductive rights.

The Party for Socialism and Liberation is commemorating the hundredth anniversary of International Women’s Day with a forum dedicated to the role of women in revolutionary struggles and in building socialism. Women workers and organizers will be speaking about the revolutionary role of women in the fight against exploitation and oppression and women's contributions to building socialism.

Hace cien años, el 8 de marzo fue declarado como el Día Internacional de la Mujer en reconocimiento de las luchas de mujeres no solo para sus derechos civiles pero contra la guerra, racismo, y explotación capitalista. Cien años después, mujeres han conseguido avances significantes gracias a la lucha pero tienen mucho mas por lo que luchar. Trabajadoras siguen siendo pagadas menos que sus compañeros y enfrentan discriminación, altos índices de violencia, y un rechazo de sus derechos reproductivos.

El Partido para Socialismo y Liberación esta conmemorando el cien aniversario del Día Internacional de la Mujer con un foro dedicado al papel de la mujer en las luchas revolucionarias y en creando el socialismo. Trabajadoras y organizadoras estarán hablando sobre el papel revolucionaria en luchando contra la explotación y opresión y las contribuciones de la mujer en creando el socialismo.
