Junipero Serra Park (San Bruno, overlooking SFO), lower meadow view picnic area. Carpooling will be provided from San Bruno and Millbrae Bart/Caltrain stations

Hi all,

I’m hosting the second Make Love & War lasertag picnic party on Labor Day Monday 9/7 from 2p-6:45pm in the scenic Junipero Serra Park (San Bruno, overlooking SFO). We did this in Golden Gate park last April, everyone had an amazing fun time! This next party is going to be even better! We have newer lasertag equipment with real-time radio-based hit confirmation, and twice as much of it so the game schedule will run much smoother. The equipment is simple to use, and the game is easy to learn. No lasertag experience is needed! Or, feel free to show up and mingle without playing. We’re having a fun poly potluck dinner.

We’re going to be playing 15-minute games of capture-the-flag in a 2-3 acre area of the park, using the latest state-of-the-art commercial outdoor lasertag equipment. Each player will be issued their own personal surveillance headset (secret service style) to communicate with their teammates. We’ll form teams of 6-10 players each, keeping the same teams throughout the event.

The picnic dinner will be potluck BBQ. I’ll be bringing my yummy Kentucky Fried Tofu and vegan purple potato salad again. There will also be music and fun times, and lots of mingling with other poly and peace-loving people between games.

We will provide an organized carpooling from Millbrae and San Bruno Bart/Caltrain stations into the park, making it easily accessible by public transit.

The registration costs are $37 per person to cover the equipment rental costs, and there are volunteer opportunities for people who want free games in exchange for helping out. Spectators can come for free, but please bring some potluck food.

Check out the event website and please register early, as there is very limited space and we are expecting this to sell out. This is going to be an amazing, totally unique, and unforgettable event. Sign-up now and please help spread the word! Thanks!
