I just wanted to thank the Govener of California for taking away money from these men and women that have to go in and take control of this prison. Look at what he has done making the prison system this dangerous. Not enough people employed and being out numbered in situations is ridiculas. Happy to report that NO MATTER WHAT these COs and Sergents and Leutinents will stick togather and take control! God bless them

The united states surpassed Russia as the prison capitol of the world in the 21st century. The drug war is a war on personal freedoms.

I can't find any info "WHY" the riot took place-- usually people riot for a reason, and I doubt it was "just" because they were locked up....

Well,my I have a loved one is at CSP-LAC,and he is experiencing extreme harrassment, by a C/O Ridgeway, who is a self proclaimed member of "The Green Wall" prison guard Gang.Using the GW name Ridgeway recently broke I/M Leinwebers TV,becuase Leinweber was filing 602 inmate complaint forms for all the inmates who have claimed C/O Ridgeway was harrassing or abusing them. This is against CDCR policy rules and regulation,(as well as the Penal Code and Constitution)stating that no inmate can be retaliated against because he is filing paperwork against any staff member.
Though alledgedlly "squashed" by CDCR adminstartors years ago,the Green Wall prison guard gang is running rampant at MANY prisons throughout the state,CSP-LAC,HD.......and many others.
These guards abuse and harrass inmates, under the guise of the badge, and CDCR Internal Affairs needs to check into it ,asap, before someone dies at their hands!

Really? Only firefighter and law enforcement on scene? No word about paramedics or EMTs? I guess the injured treated themselves and walked to the ER.

I am not surprised as complaints that the guards at many prisons are angry over the three-judge panel's ruling and abusing inmates in many ways. For example, at Sierra Conservation Center on Aug. 5, the day after the ruling, they put inmates in the hot sun for four hours while they totally trashed their cells. The guard's claimed that they were looking for a "radio" belonging to the guards. Right. Like a prisoner is going to have something like that! The D.O.M. regs say that the inmates should be present during a search for a specific item like that, but instead the cells were trashed and inmates made to swelter. There is no oversight of the prisons, or accountability of the guards, particularly in areas where Republican senators and assembly sit in power. Mail is blocked or delayed for weeks, legal deadlines are being impeded, typewriters denied in a time when inmates should all be using computers, every effort is being made to keep them locked up and to get them to break down and act out. It's a huge humanitarian mess which the public can't really see due to the ban of the media.

these riots are going to continue because the COs are letting them so as to show the State that they can not cut any jobs of the COs....
I tend to believe these comments that the guards in some way staged the conditions allowing this to happen. The environment reinforces behavior where you have to form allegiances with a gang to avoid being hurt in prison.
Is there a list of injured or hospitalized inmates from chino prison riot?
One Love,
Cynthia Wade
True, there are many that are in the system who deserve to be there. And there are many who do not. That is a case by case basis, and can be argued by anyone (and is), and whom usually do not have any credibility to argue their point, while keeping an unbiased point of view, as its a difficult position to maintain without being biased.
I was in Soledad in the 90's, and because the ''gang experts'' (whose world and modes of thinking do not extend beyond the walls and wires) dont have to even have self admission from an individual regarding affiliation, I was forever branded with affiliation to a gang. Funny that some of the C/O's try their hardest to look like Con's, (Cholo mustaches and even prison tattoos) Yeah, we need cops to maintain order, to keep the law in check. But who keeps the criminals and gangbangers that wear the CDC uniform in check? Who actually combats infiltration of the CDC by the crooked screws? Cos do your homework, theres many out there. Ive met good C/O's and a whole lotta bad ones, who feel that the piece of shiny tin they wear means that bending the law to keep those 'criminals' in check is Okay, and it makes them feel better when they go and tell the world they are keeping us safe. Actually, the electric fence at the institution is keeping us safe... watch "Natural Born Killers" sometime, or read " Hate Factory"...
CDC officers throwin up placacas and representing something? Sounds like a job for Dexter to me. He should start with CTF officers Healey or Kuyukendahl, and then take a shit in CC-I Metcalf's mouth.
