Extremist Right Wing "Tea Party" (TEA = Taxed Enough Already) participants descended on the intersection of Stevens Creek and Winchester in San Jose on July 5. There they encountered members of the Raging Grannies and allies, who had been singing out for single payer health care on the corner.
Angry "teabaggers" tried to block the health care reform activists' signs so they could not be seen by passing cars. The Grannies cranked up the amp and led chants as things heated up. Police on mounted horse came to monitor the situation when the some of the pro-gun tea party people starting bragging a little too loudly about their fire power.
