Women in Black
Women in Black held a vigil in the breeze way of the Fresno County Courthouse on Wednesday, May 3, 2009. The vigil, which is held on the first Wednesday of every month, was 4 or 5 times larger than usual. The reason? WIB members were threatened with arrest last month by deputy sheriffs. See that story here: http://www.indybay.org/newsitems/2009/05/08/18593761.php . Photos from this month’s vigil are below.

The conflicts between states are not "our differences," they are capitalist states jockeying for position over each other. Let us be clear.
Even with a new mayor who happens to be a woman, Fresno PD continue to try to clamp down on those who speak out, even when it is silent but present.
thanks for reporting Mike, I will share with many others, and thank you to the woman and men of Fresno who silently speak out.
