Location Details:
On the sidewalk in downtown Santa Cruz across from the Farmer's Market at Cedar and Lincoln Sts...on Lincoln on the sidewalk in front of Jack's Hamburgers and across the street on the sidewalk in front of the Cavalry Episcopal Church

Originally intended as a protest against discriminatory treatment of youth and homeless people at Jack's Hamburgers, the event has evolved into a meeting of all sides.

To discuss the problems that have arisen there and to find new common solutions that benefit merchants, customers, and the community.

In response to complaints about homeless discrimination, Jack's management is putting forth some peace proposals and guidelines.

Also under discussion: Cavalry Episcopal's recent decision to drive homeless and young people away from its lawns.

Hot soup will be served compliments of Gumbojumbo Joe Schultz.

Copwatch volunteers will be nearby to survey the scene to watch the watchers.
