Barack Obama: The Man & His Journey.
We are very happy to announce that Blair Underwood will be joining with El Cerrito High School to screen his documentary film, Barack Obama: The Man & His Journey. This event will take place on Wednesday, May 27th at 7:00 pm. Tickets will cost $10 for adults and $5 for students with identification. Tickets will be on sale at the door. Proceeds from this event will benefit El Cerrito High School and the Community Project. Mr. Underwood will also be working with us on an ongoing basis to improve service provided through the Community Project.
Mr. Underwood has appeared in a variety of movies and television series, including: In Treatment, Dirt, Sexy Money, Malibu’s Most Wanted, Just Cause, The New Adventures of Old Christine, the album version of Al Gore’s An Inconvenient Truth, Krush Groove, and many more. He has received numerous awards and nominations including a Grammy for best spoken word, nominations for numerous NAACP Image Awards, Emmies and Golden Globe awards.
