CELEBRATE MEMORIAL WEEKEND AT THE
MUIR BEACH VOLUNTEER FIREMEN’S BARBECUE
SUNDAY, MAY 24

WHAT: Live music, dancing, family fun and mouth-watering barbeque are just a few of the highlights of this year’s Muir Beach Volunteer Firemen’s Barbecue on Sunday, May 24, from noon to 5 pm at the Muir Beach picnic grounds on Muir Woods road.

The Volunteer Firemen’s Barbecue is a long-running annual celebration and fundraiser for the Muir Beach Volunteer Fire Department. Local musicians provide lively tunes from a rustic stage while firefighters tend smoky grills. The children’s play area provides plenty of entertainment for the youngsters.

Beer and wine are available for purchase as is clothing featuring the fire department’s iconic dog logo.

Parking is limited, so carpooling is encouraged. For a minimum donation of $20 per car, barbecue goers receive parking as well as $10 in coupons toward meals, drinks and clothing. The event concludes with a raffle offering more than 100 prizes, including overnight accommodations and airline tickets.
