Early is the author of a new book from Monthly Review Press entitled "Embedded With Organized Labor: Journalistic Reflections on The Class War at Home." See http://www.monthlyreview.org/mrpress.htm . Early was in Puerto Rico during the 2008 SEIU convention and reported on the successful effort by FMPR, the Puerto Rican teachers union, to defeat
a raid by SEIU on their 40,000-member bargaining unit.
