BART’S SOLUTION TO COP KILLING: HIRE A PUBLIC RELATIONS HACK
BART needs help in painting the picture in the best light.
Apparently Bart has decided to hire a corporate public relations hack to help talk their way out to the murder by one of their hired guns. And they have hired none other than Sam Singer – yes, the Sam Singer hired by the San Francisco Zoo establishment to help cover up their horrible incompetence in the tiger mauling which killed one young man in December of 2007. But more on Sam Singer – he apparently tried to slur the two Dhaliwal brothers and Carlos Souza, Jr. who was killed by the Tiger (see the link to article below). The city of San Francisco has also apparently filed a suit to collect medical costs of the brothers who were injured. Talk about government cold heartened ness. Singer is apparently being sued now by the Dhaliwal brothers and their attorney Mark Geragos.

From SF Chronicle, Friday, January 9, 2009:
Agency spokesman Linton Johnson said BART is consulting with the same crisis communications strategist who worked with the San Francisco Zoo after the fatal Christmas Day 2007 tiger mauling, to help handle the fallout and get out the agency's message of sorrow and vow to be open about what happened without jeopardizing the investigations.
How much do these public entities pay to hire a PR agency when they should be able to speak straight to the public? Oh, of course, I forgot – they don’t know how to talk to the public they are supposed to serve. They love being “Public Servants” though.
