Movie Night: En Español Sin Subtitulos!

Una noche de cine para hispanohablantes y estudiantes de Español. Vamos a ver dos pelîculas Españolas y Latinoamericanas, ¡sin subtîtulos! No tengas miedo; sî te puedes. Nosotros aprendiendo el idioma podemos mejorar nuestro comprención. Personas ya bien bilingües pueden ver unas buenas pelîculas sin la distracción de los subtîtulos. Habrá palomitas. Sigue una coversación opcional sobre las pelîculas vistas. (Probablemente verémos una obra de Almodóvar y algún película de la epoca de oro de cine Mexicano. ¿Cantinflas?). Las veremos afuera--pueden llevar una silla o cojin para sentarse.

Movie Night for native Spanish speakers and students of the language. A double feature of Spanish and Latin American films to be watched without subtitles! Don't be afraid; you can do it. Learners of Spanish will improve their comprehension and experienced Spanish speakers get to watch some good films without the distraction of the poor translations at the bottom of the screen. Popcorn provided. Optional film discussion in Spanish to follow. (We'll probably watch one of Pedro Almodóvar's films and something older from Mexico. Anyone heard of Cantinflas?) We're showing outside, so bring a small chair or a cushion. And dress warmly.
