Anonymous Marches Yet Again

by Anonymous (anonsoldier42 [at] gmail.com)
Once more Anonymous has taken to the streets in the war against the Cult of Scientology, and once more the faceless army of Internet denizens has been successful. Fresh from Comic Con International, about 35 Anonymous marched and protested outside the Scientology Org and along Broadway outside Horton Plaza
San Diego Anonymous continues to be made of win as on August 16th they returned for yet another public protest against the dangerous Cult of Scientology. Waving signs and handing out flyers that warned the public of the many crimes committed by the cult, they also danced and ate cupcakes while talking to passersby. The protest began at 11AM, part of a worldwide effort that spanned continents and could be found in major cities all over the globe. For several hours, finally ending around 3:30PM, Anonymous went about its work informing the public.

The organization calling itself the "Church" of Scientology has been accused of attacking its critics through harsh measures such as the use of private investigators, manipulating the legal system through cease and desist letters and falsified crimes, and even direct harassment by Scientologists. In addition, individuals are forced to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars to progress through the ranks of the cult and learn its secretive and closely guarded secrets, all the while being subjected to brainwashing techniques and forced disconnection from friends and family members. Those within the cult who try to leave or act in unapproved ways are harshly treated and even on occasion subjected to physical and mental torture. All of this and much more occurs under the guise of religion and the "Church" of Scientology continues to enjoy tax exemption from the IRS through a secret agreement in 1993 that includes preferential treatment in areas not granted to other religious organizations.

Anonymous has been tireless in its efforts and already work has begun on September's protest, to take place on the 13th. In addition, every collective continues to engage in flash raids, flyering, and other decentralized actions.
