Crunch Time for Cindy Sheehan: Help Get her On the Ballot!
Cindy Sheehan Needs Your Help!
According to her sister, Dede, 3000 petition signatures are needed by 3 pm this Friday!

Cindy Sheehan is running for Congress in San Francisco (California's District 8).
It has not been easy collecting signatures to put Cindy Sheehan on the ballot.
San Francisco is a city of commuters. Many working people cannot or do not live in the downtown district. The poorest residents are seldom registered, or are not interested in voting.
The toughest brag, 'Can't vote! I'm a felon!"
(At least these individuals have a touching awareness of what rights they have lost.)
Many know who Cindy Sheehan is but do not understand why she is running. I blame the establishment media for this.
Some people think getting Cindy on the ballot is a shoe-in-- not true-- and I blame the alternative media for this.
The most deplorable group of people understand the stakes, but can't be bothered. Perhaps like me, they walk down the street with ear buds pretending they can't hear anything like 'Please help!"
Sigh.
Today, Cindy's sister Dede sent out a new plea for help.

We need your help. Of the 10898 signatures we turned in last tuesday close to 5,000 were invalidated.
We need 1694 additional valid signatures to get Cindy on the ballot and we need to accomplish this huge task by 3pm this friday. In order to cover another outrageous invalidation rate we need to collect 3,000 signatures.
....
If you have either the old In Lieu of Filing Petitions or the Old
Nomination Petition please come in and get the new Supplemental Nomination Petitions. The old petitions will not be accepted by the Department of Elections.
The goal is within our grasp...we can't let it slip through our
hands......
Please call Dede at 415-621-5027 and let us know WHEN you can help.

it is critical that people pick up the latest supplemental petitions.
The downloadable ones at Cindy's website this evening will not do.
