BMW workers vote today on contract

Local 1101, International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, may be getting close to reaching an agreement with Autonation, the mega car dealership that now owns Allison BMW in Mountain View, CA.

On Saturday July 19 the negotiating committee for District 190, Local 1101 IAM & AW refused to leave a demonstration in front of the Mountain View BMW dealership to relocate to Dublin (East Bay) location at 10:00 am. Negotiations did start at 1:45 pm Saturday and continued throughout the night until 7:30 am Sunday morning. Richard Breckenridge, Business Representative for the local said in an interview with Indybay today, "We do have a proposal from Autonation Corp. that the membership will be voting on today at 2:00 pm."
