The MoveOn Council 14 Street Action Team is made up of teachers and students who say that our education system suffers while we continue to spend billions on the Iraq War.
They presented the results of a just published MoveOn.org poll to a crowd that included students on their way home from Sequoia High School in Redwood City. Members of the Raging Grannies Action League were on hand with a
counter-recruiting message which they imparted as teachable moments arose. Vietnam era vets spoke, the Raging Grannies led a sing-along, and all were kept busy with interviews from TV and newspaper outlets.
