4/3: Shamrock Showcase
Kappa Delta Sorority is presenting its 11th annual Shamrock Showcase highlighting the dance and lipsync talents of the local students. 100% of the proceeds goes to Prevent Child Abuse America and Child Quest International. Pre-sale tickets are $5 and $9 at the door on April 3rd in Barrett Ballroom at San Jose State University at 7pm.
Kappa Delta Sorority dedicates its philanthropic efforts to fighting child abuse and benefiting disadvantaged children. For the past twenty-one years, our fundraiser known as the Shamrock Project, held annually by Kappa Delta Collegians and alumnae across the country, has donated its profits to Prevent Child Abuse America. Kappa Delta helps raise money to end child abuse and provide those abused with a new life.
Along with donating to Prevent Child Abuse America, the Gamma Iota chapter of Kappa Delta, located at San Jose State University, donates eighty percent of proceeds to Child Quest International. This is a non-profit organization that receives its funds through donations and fundraising events. Child Quest International aids the fight in child abuse and organizes services to locate missing or kidnapped children.
This event has been a huge part of Greek Life on SJSU campus as well as part of Santa Clara University’s Greek Life. This coming year, SJSU Kappa Delta chapter will be hosting its 11th annual Shamrock Showcase event. Shamrock Showcase is a lip sync and dance competition that student organizations from San Jose State and Santa Clara Universities participate in. The event will take place on Thursday April 3, 2008 at 7:00pm. It will be held in the Loma Prieta Ballroom of the Student Union at San Jose State University.
By attending the event you will be contributing to our fundraising efforts, you will help Kappa Delta’s fight against child abuse. Thank you for you generous support!
