Critical Resistance presents:
GENDER, HEALTH CARE & THE PRISON INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX

WHO?: Critical Resistance is a national grassroots organization that seeks to build an international movement to end the prison industrial complex by challenging the belief that caging and controlling people makes us safe. We believe that basic necessities such as food, shelter and freedom are what really make our communities secure.

WHAT?: "Gender, Health Care & the Prison Industrial Complex" is the second of a series of monthly events focusing on different aspects of the prison industrial complex. This event will be featuring speakers from Justice Now, Critical Resistance and Santa Cruz AIDS Project

WHEN?: This Thurs (Feb 21st) from 7:15-9:15 pm

WHERE?: Louden Nelson Community Center
301 Center Street
Santa Cruz CA

WHY?: To provide a collective space to discuss the prison industrial complex, how it impacts different lives, and abolition, in the hopes of inspiring people to attend Critical Resistance's 10th Anniversary weekend celebration (Sept 26-28,'08) and to work towards building this movement.
