the story of stuff http://www.storyofstuff.com
From its extraction through sale, use and disposal, all the stuff in our lives affects communities at home and abroad, yet most of this is hidden from view. The Story of Stuff is a 20-minute, fast-paced, fact-filled look at the underside of our production and consumption patterns. The Story of Stuff exposes the connections between a huge number of environmental and social issues, and calls us together to create a more sustainable and just world.

Why You Should Not Vote for Hillary... From: Stephen Zunes

Hillary Clinton on Military Policy Dec 12, 2007

For reasons made clear in those articles, I think it would be a real disaster for the Democratic Party to nominate Hillary Clinton as their 2008 presidential nominee. Given that the first caucuses and primaries are less than a month away, please consider forwarding these as widely as possible. In Peace, Stephen Zunes

Many women often find themselves on the defensive with men, because time after time, they have to be on guard keeping watch over the very safety of their bodies, as men just want to go from 0-60 in 2.5 seconds.
Most women if truly given what they really craved, would have a long, slow sensual buildup to any sort of penetrative sex. Or even to oral sex. Remember, she's got a whole body. From the tip of the head to the tip of the toes, she is capable of being stimulated. Allow her the opportunity to really crave more before she's getting it.
In this 4-hour Hands-On/Clothes-Off workshop, we will explore the use of erotic massage to cultivate desire and bring it to new heights.

Sunday, December 16, 2007 from 12:00 noon to 3:00 pm
Fellow Citizens, the lies and deceptions regarding the crimes of September 11, 2001, have been used to destroy our civil liberties, undermine our democracy, and launch a criminal war on innocents abroad. Now is the time to DEMAND a genuine independent investigation into the attacks of 9/11! On Sunday, December 16, 2007, the 234th anniversary of the Boston Tea Party, ONCE AGAIN, we say "No" to Tyranny by throwing crates of the embodiment of that Great Lie - the 9/11 Commission Report - into the San Francisco Bay.
Please join us at 12:00 noon at Pier 39 in San Francisco and at 1:00 pm we will march to the Hyde Street Pier to hear statements of redress and at 3:00 pm heave the disgraced book into the Bay.

We believe violence prevention is a community responsibility as well as an individual issue. Our work in self defense encourages everyone to recognize their entitlement to the basic human right to live free from violence and hate. Our goal is to build a cultural and social movement that puts violence in a context of political, economic and social oppression and frames safety as a human right."

“There is never “forever” . . . only, the moment” - Marc Almond
This New Year’s Eve YOU are invited to: Sweet ? Only the Moment . . .
Cellspace - 2050 Bryant St @ 18th/19th St. SAN FRANCISCO 9 pm to 6 am
Featuring the musical stylings of:
Tyler Reed - Dragn’fly - Scottino - Spesh - Jim Cyr and, introducing Brian Hultin
Once upon a time, there were a very special series of ceremonial dance
events held at Cellspace in San Francisco - a singular combination of DJs,
space, lights, visuals, intention and PARTICIPANTS came together and
created many happy, memorable evenings we called, Sweet! The question is,
can we share THAT kind of moment, again ?
All of the qualities that made Cellspace so special are still there - the lofty sense
of space and safety, the cozy chill areas, the amazingly well-ventilated INDOOR
smoking area, and, for DANCERS - most importantly - the bouncy, wooden
dancefloor that allows you to dance and dance and dance and . . .
There are beautiful new bathrooms, and, for this occasion there will be both a
coat check and a well-stocked BAR. We have hired JK Sound to recreate
the 4-corner sound system and lured Barry Reuter & Steve Freed into
providing us with a more dazzling level of visuals than ever before !!
make this your New Year’s Eve destination ONLY if you are prepared to be
friendly, open, generous, fun, courteous and welcoming .
Please feel encouraged to dress in such a way as to ENTERTAIN
Thanks to Amy Welker we have modernized our ticketing process - we are now using Paypal.
Tickets, available now, are $25. until December 21st - after which they will be $40.
If any tickets are available after December 29th - they will be $50 at the door.
Doors will open at 8:30 and close at 10:30 (unless prior arrangements are made).
As always, no one will be turned away due to lack of funds but you must request
a comp before the tickets are gone - there are only 420 tickets available for this event.
This event is primarily a benefit for Cellspace - Paypal tix are available at:
Fireball [at] myway.com It would be helpful, if when ordering, you give us the names
of who the tickets are for. Please refer all questions, requests, concerns to Jim - surfpunk [at] well.com
Namaste !! Matt & Jim
