For World AIDS Day 2007, WORLD (Women Organized to Respond to Life-threatening Diseases) will host a Summit on Women and HIV for HIV Positive Women, Providers, Family, Friends, and interested Community Members. All are welcome!

The Summit will be held on Friday, November 30, 2007 at the Samuel Merritt College in Oakland from 8:30 am-5:00 pm.

SPACE IS FILLING QUICKLY, so please forward this announcement widely and get your registrations in soon! Any questions about the summit, give us a call at 510-986-0340.

We are also recruiting volunteers for the day of the summit. If you would like to volunteer for part or all of the Summit, we have time slots from:

8am-12pm
11:30-3pm
2:30-6pm

Here's some info about the Summit itself:

We have an exciting day planned, starting at 8:30am and going until about 5pm, which includes plenaries featuring HIV+ women in leadership and workshops on advocacy, support, and women-specific treatment updates. We will be offering workshops in Spanish as well, and I am including a
Spanish-language registration form in the attachments. Please feel free to pass this email on to anyone else who may be interested, and give me a call if you have any questions.
