Another Day deleting borders
Some updates on the second day of camp
Day Two - reports rolled in to the media house not to long ago, we have a camp bonfire. Border Patrol have said the fire can stay as long as it does not exceed 100 feet high.
The number of cars more than doubled today. We had to organize a new parking situation. A second round of bathrooms are almost done with construction as the first one filled up within the first day. The wheelchair accessible bathroom has also been relocated.
There are many new faces today. The number of participants has more than doubled with over two hundred participants. And many have decided to camp with mexicali in order to reach a common goal of full communication between the two angles of the one camp and to make room for the many new arrivals.
Paths of travel are wide and run through compacted areas of dirt for better accessibility to all including wheelchair users--more than one border is being deleted this week in Calexico.
People are allowed to travel by foot or bicycle from the camp border patrol checkpoint. Cars are allowed to enter with necesary supplies for the cars or to aid people who cannot travel far on foot. Other cars will possibly be allowed entrance to the camp but we expect to reach capacity in the next day or so.
