The MST's 5th National Congress -
Two years of study and discussions led up to the MST's 5th National Congress. For five days in June of this year, over 18,000 MST militants studied the situation in agriculture, the political reality, and the challenges faced by the Brazilian people as they work to build a sovereign, just nation. Time was also spent strengthening the Movement through mistica, remembering comrades who could not be there because of the savagery of the latifundio and of agribusiness, and to fraternize and celebrate the victories.

Friends of the MST delegates to the MST's National Congress will reportback on this historical event.
