Anti-War Activists Protest At Feinstein Mansion
Hootenanny at the Feinstein Mansion
On August 19th, activists from as far away as Palo Alto, Mexico City, and Milan joined members of Code Pink in front of Diane Feinstein's mansion where they rang the doorbell and sang out for peace.
Code Pink members are half way through a fast for peace,
in an effort to convince Feinstein and Pelosi to take a stronger stand against the war in Iraq.
Those engaged in the Fast For Peace are demanding the withdrawal of all U.S. from Iraq, no permanent bases in Iraq, and a commitment to fund a massive reconstruction effort but with funds going to Iraqi, not U.S., contractors.
