ANGRY TIRED TEACHERS and supporters rally in SF: Part I
Tuesday April 24th: More than 300 people rallied for a fair contract for San Francisco teachers and paraprofessionals, supporting the striking Hayward teachers in the same Rockin' Demo.
The Raging Grannies danced to the music of THE ANGRY TIRED TEACHER BAND from Hayward Unified School District who got the crowd ROCKIN'.
Folks of all ages quickly caught the spirit, chanting and waving signs asking cars to "Honk to Support Public Schools."
Inspirational speeches were interspersed with traditional union songs led by a chorus of many well known Bay area labor singers including the legendary Faith Petric.
At the end of the one and a half hour rally, almost all the demonstrators marched into the building at 555 Franklin....right into the Board of Education in a HUGE show of strength and SOLIDARITY!!!
