Center Women Present, The San Francisco LGBT Community Center’s new women’s programming initiative, invites women to attend their first Matchup gathering on Monday, April 2, 2007 from 7-9pm .

Matchup is a singles event where women will have the opportunity to meet other singles in a low pressure, low risk, fun environment. The event will begin promptly at 7:00 p.m. Once the women sign in, they will be given numbered name tags, and they will engage in lively games and discussions. Later in the evening, participants will be invited to fill out forms indicating the ID numbers of the women they found intriguing. If two people write down each other's ID numbers, they will receive an email the next day with the other person’s email address so they can plan their date!

All self-identified lesbian, bisexual, queer and/or transgender women are invited to attend. Center Women Present can not guarantee participants will make a connection, but can guarantee a good time!

A suggested donation of $5-$15 is kindly accepted.

Center Women Present is a queer women's initiative started at the San Francisco LGBT Community Center, serving all self-identified women, including lesbians, queer and bisexual women, and female-identified transgender individuals. The program intends to address women's community issues through volunteer-led projects and is shaped primarily by input of community members, with assistance of The Center's staff. For more information about this initiative or to sign up for its mailing group and be notified about future events, contact Rae at raeb@sfcenter. org or call 415-865-5664
