On March 8th, the SF Housing Rights Committee with employee Sara Shortt and several other community based groups, including members of the Harvey Milk LGBT Democratic Club, held a press conference on the steps of City Hall to oppose the latest HUD cuts to the City’s Public Housing Security. These cuts have been made to senior and disabled buildings only, the most vulnerable of Public Housing residents. Supervisor Chris Daly also called on the Budget Committee to review the SF Housing Authority’s finances.
